Shadowbox insert for CTMH Brakett Frame

Hi everyone.

I have been getting some inquiries as to how I put this frame insert together. So I made a video.

Let me first say that I used me Silhouette Cameo and Silhouette design studio to create the pieces. I used Close To My Heart's cardstock for the insert. I hope you enjoy!

Skylark Bracket Frame Fun

Today I want to show one of Close to my Heart's My Creations products. This is a gift for my sweet little niece, just because she is such a good mommy to here Luna.

The Bracket Frame is a pre-assembled chipbard Bracket shaped frame, 11" outer dimension, 7" inner dimension with a depth of 1".

I had a vision for this frame when I first saw if. It took me some time to figure out how to turn my vision into a reality, once I did that the frame came together with total ease. Here is a quick walk through......

First I purchased the frame then went to work in creating the insert.

Then I took the insert out and inked the edges of the frame with Saddle ink and covered it with Skylark Paper. This is where I used the Cricut Art Philosophy Cartrige. It was so easy and it fit perfectly!!

After playing with the frame I got to decorate and plan out my design, inking the edges and getting the photos sized and inserted. Once my insert was decorated just the way that I wanted it was time to insert it to the  Bracket Frame. It fit perfectly. I did use a little glue on the inside of the frame just to hold the insert perfectly in place.  (I won't bore you with the details for the decorating)

This is the finished My Creations Bracket Frame with an accompanying Scrapbook
layout to go into her album.

I would love to see what you do with the Bracket frame.

Happy Place - March Stamp of the Month

Since March is here it can only mean one thing..... That Winter is almost over. I don't know about you, but each year I look forward to the winter and some snowfall. I guess it's the kid in me. The snow makes me think of hot chocolate with tiny marshmallows and cuddling up on the couch with some popcorn to watch a movie while I warm up after coming in from the cold. Unfortunately this year has been crazy with all the snow storms that we have had. There is another big storm about to hit this weekend and into Monday. 6 to 12 inches. I am definitely over this winter. Spring can not come soon enough for me.
Today I want to share with you March's Stamp of the Month. It is supper cute.

Check out this art work that CTMH has made with this stamp set.

I hope that you all are staying warm this winter and enjoying your family. Stay safe and have a fantastic day!

3D Paper "Tea for You and Me" with Close To My Heart papers

I was playing with my Silhouette Cameo that my son got me for Christmas last year. While doing some research on the Silhouette Studio Designer, I found a fantastic website that has tons of awesome SVG files. They have "Kits" for every occasion for a reasonable price plus they also have some Free files as well. So I bit the bullet and bought the Studio Designer.  There is a bit of a learning curve and I seam to have been able to get by with the basics. Here is a photo of the Tea Pot that I created using the Tea For You and Me SVG file from SvgCuts.com along with some papers from the Ariana Paper Packet by Close To My Heart.

The carousels were my Grandmothers. I thought they would look great in the background. (I love and miss you Grandmom!!) I can't begin to tell you all how very easy this was to put together. I got my comfy blanket and warm Tea then reached for my supplies, and before I knew it, the project was done. Topped it off with some stamping, paper roses and some bling, it was finished. I guess I should mention the other products that were used, so here ya go: The Cricut Artbooking Cartridge from CTMH and "Give a Lift" stamp set from CTMH.

I hope that you have enjoyed today's post and make one yourself.
I would love to see your versions of the "Tea For You and Me" Kit.
Thanks For Stopping by.

Happy New Year

Hi everyone out there in blogger land.
Happy Belated New Year!!! So with the new year here I am already off to a wonderfully bad start with my post. With that being said I am going to do a quick reflection on 2013. (I promise that I won't go into too much details and bore you all ;-) )
As you may know some of my in-laws live in the south and I miss them terribly. We had the opportunity to visit with them last spring. We visited the Florida Keys and fed some fish, and Pelicans too.

Then we had my niece's Jr prom and she looked so beautiful! That girl is growing up into a wonderful young woman!
My wonderful sisters took my on a cruise to the Bahamas for my Birthday. It was my first ever cruise and had a wonderful time! I am truly blessed to have them for sister and most of my best friends!!!! I love you guys!!!! Thank you very much!!!

So that is enough of a recap. I do apologize if I have bored you. But I did keep it short.;-)
